Sally McKenzie
Sally joined McKenzies Solicitors in 2006 and has been a partner since 2010. She has considerable experience in family law and separation matters. We know how difficult family matters can be and Sally deals with matters on a professional but sympathetic basis.
She regularly assists clients with commercial and conveyancing matters and has a wealth of specialist experience whilst acting for local businesses and lenders. She is extremely capable at dealing with all aspects of leasing or buying and selling your home or business.
Sally has significant experience in drafting wills and powers of attorneys for clients and frequently deals with executry work. She represents a broad range of clients in licensing matters and appears at Licensing Board Hearings on a regular basis. She has over 15 years of experience in dealing with personal injury claims and is a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL).
She has extensive expertise in dealing with all forms of road traffic accidents, accidents in the workplace and medical negligence claims. Sally also has considerable experience in criminal defence work, appearing regularly in the Sheriff Courts around Scotland and frequently instructing cases in the High Court.
A rugby player in her day, Sally is still a keen follower of rugby and advises the Board of her local rugby club as well as sitting on the Board of the Adam Smith Global Foundation.
She is a former Dean of the Kirkcaldy Faculty of Solicitors.

Christine Hagan
Christine Hagan – Partner - Christine is a graduate from the University of Dundee. She began her legal career here in Kirkcaldy, specifically training in Criminal Law, until she qualified in 2010. Since then Christine has continued to specialise in criminal defence work but also practices child and family law. Christine has experience in dealing with all aspects of criminal defence work and regularly appears in the civil and family courts and Children’s Panels.
Nigel Cooke
Nigel has been a partner in Mckenzies since 1989 and is now a consultant. He has extensive experience of dealing with all types of litigation.
He regularly conducts both criminal and civil litigation cases in the sheriff high court and has significant experience of dealing with case in the court of session and high court.
he deals with all types of criminal and civil litigation including Commercial litigation, personal injury cases, family cases and cases involving adults with incapacity.

Stuart Craig
Stuart joined the firm in 2024 and brings a wealth of knowledge in relation to separations, divorces and cohabitation claims. He is also experienced in representing clients in all types of family law disputes concerning the residence of children, contact matters, parental rights and responsibilities, and interdicts.
Margo Brown
Margo is our residential conveyancer and is a Law Society of Scotland Accredited Paralegal. Margo joined us in 2023 and deals with our residential sales, purchases as well as transfers of title, plot sales and here at McKenzies is also going back to deal with Private Client work, including Executries, Wills and Powers of Attorney.
